Foods for Health

Food is a man's best medicine. We should learn to harness the natural healing powers of food to cure ourselves or to maintain our health.  Each type of food is earmarked for different functions such as creating energy, heat, strength, repairing cell structures and so on.
  1. Blood builders

Some foods are blood builders. The herb that is a wonderful blood builder is the nettle.  In fact all herbs should be considered as they have their effects on the body.  The vegetable, beet, is also a great blood booster.  Other foods also great for the blood are black cherries, green vegetables, sun chlorella and bee pollen.
  1. Brain foods

Some foods are brain foods.  We need to nourish our brains with phosphorus-rich foods whereby these same foods can also help to nourish the glands and nerves at the same time.  Plant phosphorus can be used to build the bones however the brains actually needs the higher-evolved animal phosphorus such as those found in codfish roe and egg yolk.

  2. Muscle foods

Some foods are muscle foods.  Proteins are needed for the muscle structures in our body while fats that contains high calories are needed to provide heat in our body.

  3. Energy food

Some foods are energy foods.  Carbohydrate foods are sweet in taste and needs to be chewed.  Chewing them thoroughly will allow them to be properly digested for better absorption in the body.  Most times we tend to simply swallow liquids or cooked foods however we MUST chew raw foods so that we can moisten them, grind them and make sure they can be easily swallowed.  Chewing helps in strengthening our jaw with exercise and supplying the much-needed roughage to our digestive systems to help the bowels tone itself.
